2010 Alia Yachts Custom Warwick 82 LK – Aiyana
Key Specifications
Description
AIYANA is hull 1 of only two Warwick 82 LK yachts built: 24.70 m LOA, 49,500 kg, 298.6 m² of upwind sail area, and 2.28 m of draft with the keel raised. Alan Warwick of Warwick Yacht Design drew her inside and out. Alia Yachts built her in Antalya in advanced composite to Germanischer Lloyd and MCA Small Commercial Vessel Code, launching May 2010.
The brief was a 25-metre yacht one owner could sail himself. The project began nearer 37 metres and was compressed over seven years of design work with Warwick. Three decisions carry it: a hydraulic lifting keel, 2.28 m up and 4.10 m down; a one-piece seamless carbon Hall Spars mast of approximately 35 m on a four-spreader masthead rig; and a raised pilothouse with an inside helm and 360-degree visibility.
Sail handling is hydraulic and short-handed by design — Hall Spars Oceanfurl in-boom furling, hydraulic headsail furling, powered primary and secondary winches, Max Power 34 hp bow and stern thrusters, and an anchor windlass with a swing-out carbon arm that stows below deck level. Standing rigging is Future Fibers carbon; port-side components serviced and replaced 2022, rig inspected and certified for a further ten years.
